For I can't help falling in love with you... I knew he was a book lover, but to be the same kind of book lover that I am? It makes my insides melt.   Rating: 4/5 Genre: Rom-Com, Contemporary, Adult Enemies to Lovers. Check! One Bed trope. Check! Fluffy Cute Love Story. Check check check! When I started this one I had no expectation and just wanted to read something easy. But, God! It was so BEAUTIFUL??? One of the best feelings is when you love something you didn't think you would. This is me, falling in love with The Unhoneymooners . The story starts with a catastrophe- the wedding of Amy and Dan practically blew them off at the face by food-poisoning. Olive, Amy's twin sister, has to go to Amy's already booked honeymoon with her sole 'enemy', Ethan, Amy's brother-in-law. Uh-huh! Classic right? Olive, a clumsy unlucky self-conscious girl and Ethan, a debonair with charming personality-The unhoneymooners began their bittersweet journey to the exotic island...

HOUSE OF HOLLOW | KRYSTAL SUTHERLAND

White waxy petals and death.. . You are like the death flowers that grow rampant in your wake: lovely to look at, intoxicating even, but get too close and you will soon learn that there is something rank beneath. Rating: 5/5 Genre: YA Fantasy, Thriller, Horror (a little) 𝑯𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 can be either one of the best books you've read or one of the worst ones. Thank God for me it ended up being an absolute beauty!  First of all, the cover is AMAZING and yes, I bought it because of the cover (pls don't judge me XD). But now after reading it, I'm mesmerized. The plot is one hell of something so rare and unique. Grey, Vivi and Iris, The Hollow Sisters, vanished into thin air without any trace when they were little. They came back, but with no memories, a clean slate. So clearly their lives are everything but normal. An invisible aura hovers around them, waiting to call them in its own charm, a call that can't be ignored, however hard they try. They did ignor...

WE WERE LIARS | E. LOCKHART

Welcome to the beautiful Sinclair family... Someone once wrote that a novel should deliver a series of small astonishments. I get the same thing spending an hour with you. Rating:  4.5/5 Genre: YA Fiction, YA Contemporary, Suspense  Astounding. Sophisticated. Bold. The quote fits perfectly to the book, it does contain a series of unforeseeable surprises that may wreck you. I can't possibly list out how many things I like about this book to prevent spoilers, but I'm aware that books like We Were Liars , exist quite less in number. I was lost and found, found and lost. The Sinclair Family-beautiful, perfect, wealthy, cracked and broken. The family gathers together in their private Beechwood Island each summer. One summer, expected to be just fine like the others, turned the life of Cadence Sinclair upside down. She can't remember what happened. She can't fill up the holes in her memory. All she feels is the migraine pain slicing her brain after the accident. Everyone act...

Missing? or Murdered?  Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are. Rating: 4/5 Genre: Thriller, crime, murder, psychological Trigger warning: Child abuse, misogyny, animal abuse   Excuse me if I just ramble out about this book, I've too much thoughts and can't really shape them up. The Industrialist: Henrik Vanger, former C.E.O. of his dynastic corporation is suffering from mental torment of not finding out his most loved family member. No body, no trace of existence. Only a frame of pressed flowers is sent to him on each of his birthdays. The Journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, lost almost everything with a controversial article. Bonus! A COMPLETE GUIDE TO SHERLOCK HOLMES | SIR ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE

Image
To the great mind, and beyond... "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." Rating: All the stars in universe!!! Genre: Murder, mystery, crime, action Finally, I've finished the complete Sherlock Holmes collection and proud of myself that I did. I can't wrap my mind around the greatness of our one and only Consulting Detective, the master of deduction. I'm just so in love with Sherlock and Watson. And their friendship! Just like two teenagers on adventures. The amount of people who have neither read any Sherlock Holmes story nor watched any movie, is obviously very few (is there any at all?). Apart from the world of avid readers, Sherlock is loved and his cases are savored by almost anyone of any age. Sherlock Holmes collection comprises of 4 novels and 56 short stories. Reviewing Sherlock Holmes is, according to me, a daring and impossible job. Besides, I don't possess the audacity to technically revi...

THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD | AGATHA CHRISTIE

Image
Family or Friends -no one is free of suspicion! It is odd, when you have a secret belief of your own which you do not wish to acknowledge , the voicing of it by someone else will rouse you to a fury of denial. Rating: 5/5 Genre: Murder, crime, mystery "Christie fooled you", this is the ending line of the book and already you all can possibly guess that this one is gonna be super unpredictable, well at least for me, it was. Agatha Christie fooled me with her  damned conceptual ingenuity  and I found myself cupping my mouth in shock at the climax.  Roger Ackroyd married Mrs. Ferrars, the lady who poisoned her first husband. "A life always calls for a life"-Mrs. Ferrars committed suicide. A handwritten letter from Mrs. Ferrars arrived to Roger Ackroyd by the evening post, a confession of her guilt.  The very evening, Roger Ackroyd was found murdered in his study, the letter, gone! All evidence pointed towards his adopted son, Ralph. Roger's niece, Flora, believing ...

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS | AGATHA CHRISTIE

Image
When the Train-berth becomes Deathbed! The impossible could not have happened, therefore the impossible must be possible in spite of appearances. Rating: 4.5/5 Genre: Murder, mystery, crime A classic mystery indeed! Murder on the Orient Express , the runner-up of World's Favorite Agatha Christie global fan-voting contest, is my gateway to Hercule Poirot . I've heard great things about his sharp brain and consequently I had high hopes. So after reading, I can scream in relief  'cause THIS BOOK SMASHED IT! What more can a reader ask for? Wherever a detective goes, crime follows him, even a train can not refrain. When The Orient Express got stuck in a snowdrift, amidst passengers' hustle and bustle, a murder was committed in midnight. A man was found stabbed 12 times in his compartment, the same one Poirot was travelling in.  He couldn't rest without analyzing the fatal murder. A scrap of paper, a failed attempt of burning it down, revealed a mischievous deed of th...
